Working hard for you

The Scottish Parliament constituency of Dumbarton stretches from Bowling up through Loch Lomond to Tarbet on one side and Gartocharn on the other, and comes down through Loch Long to the Kilcreggan Penisula incorporating the Gare Loch on the other side.

The main towns in Dumbarton constituency are; Dumbarton, Alexandria, Balloch and Helensburgh, but it also includes many other small villages such as Luss, Arrochar, Tarbet, Cove, Kilcreggan, Rosneath, Garelochhead, Rhu and Cardross.

The constituency is fortunate to have an area of Scotland's first National Park, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, and features many beautiful tourist spots on the 'bonnie banks of Loch Lomond' including Ben Lomond and some spectacular golf courses.

It is also home to Scotland's largest Naval Base, HMNB Clyde.  This is the biggest employer in the area, and is a large contributor to the local economy.
